Delicato wine in the Bota Box is great. I tried their Cabernet Sauvignon. It's not just a case of "oh, I can't believe it's so non-awful for a really cheap wine." It really is good, even though it works out to the equivalent of $4 to $5 a bottle. I found it at Trader Joe's.

I was at Trader Joe's yesterday and this checker girl was talking to some disgruntled patron looking for a different wine than Charles Shaw. Now, I don't give a rat's ass about wine because I'm allergic (people always ask me why don't I get the French wine without sulphites and I look at them in total and complete awe because why on earth would I ever want to touch the stuff again after vomiting for one whole day. That was 2 glasses of $45/bottle wine, mind you. These people have clearly never eaten something pungent right before coming down with the stomach flu, and are without the knowledge that copious vomiting causes lifetime revulsion toward the offending food item. My brother doesn't touch York Peppermint Patties to this day.).

Anyway, she went on and on about this wine that just sold out that was $1.20/bottle. $1.20!!! Ounce for ounce, damn near cheaper than gatorade.

I dunno about you, but not a drop of that murderous liquid will ever touch my lips (I like to remain free of hives when possible).
