A male black-chinned hummingbird has been spending some time around my back deck. I haven't been able to get a picture of him yet. He comes around to feed from the fuchsia and lavender.

my cat catches hummingbirds out of the sky and murders them. Well, not quite. She maims them and then they scream. Have you ever heard a hummingbird scream? It has to be worse than the screaming of the lambs.

I'll keep trying, but it is hard to get a picture of the hummingbird because it is so quick. By the time I get the camera out, it is gone.
